On Wednesday, June 2, 2004, the Ohio Small Business Development Center at YSU will begin a 12-week program called eVantage.  eVantage is a comprehensive, multi-phased eBusiness program designed specifically for small businesses. It is offered through Ohio's Small Business Development Centers and the Ohio Investment In Training Partnership.  This program is about transforming existing business practices to improve efficiencies and sales electronically. 

 

Modules include:

1. eBusiness Concepts, Business Applications and Your Business
    Operation Baseline

2. A Look into the Future – Business Goods & Objectives

3. eBusiness Requirements and Performance Definitions

4. Streamlining Internal Processes

5. Supply Chain Management & Order Fulfillment

6. Marketing and Selling, The Face and Image of Your Business

7. eBusiness Customer Service and Security

8. Banking and Financing in the 21st Century

9. Successful Technology Due-Diligence and Implementation

10. Internet and Website Design

11. eBusiness Systems Infrastructure and Assessment

12. Action Plan Implementation, Open House and Graduation

Participants will:

  • Evaluate their current baseline operation
  • Develop and implement a customized eBusiness strategy
  • Learn about opportunities for eBusiness beyond a website
  • See how technology can reduce costs and streamline business internally
  • Use technology to improve sales, profits, and customer service

The Ohio Small Business Development Center at YSU is currently accepting reservations for their eVantage program that will begin on June 2, 2004.  The program consists of twelve different modules, and includes on-line activities and interaction among businesses. This program is offered to area businesses for $500 per company.  (A maximum of two participants per company may attend the class at $500 per person.) The fee includes 36 hours of classroom instruction and 30 hours of follow-up consultation after the course.  Participation is limited to 14 companies in Ashtabula, Mahoning, Trumbull, and Columbiana counties, so call today to make your reservation in the eVantage program, and develop your competitive advantage!  NOTE:  Participating companies in this first series of courses may be eligible to receive a reduction in the $500 fee through the Ohio Targeted Industries Grant program.
